Caliyah and I had the pleasure to attend the movie premiere of Ava DuVernay new film, 'Origin’, starring Aunjanue L. Ellis-Taylor. This thought-provoking PG-13 rated movie explores the pervasive cast system in diverse cultures, inviting audiences of all ages to reflect on societal complexities.
The beautiful part for us was Caliyah's had been learning about the different cultures depicted in the movie at school, which sparked meaningful discussions (That made me happy).
